Product Description
All TYC cabin air filters are manufactured with superior material and processes, with workmanship and performance backed by a comprehensive product warranty. The filters come in two types: Particulate and Carbon. The type of TYC cabin air filter you receive for your car will based on the type that is chosen by the Original Equipment for optimum performance (dust loading capacity and pressure drop). All TYC cabin air filters have the quality and filter performance (dust loading capacity and pressure drop) that is comparable to or exceeding the Original Equipment. These high quality cabin air filters enable peak operating efficiency of the vehicle heating & air conditioning system and provides clean air by trapping airborne allergens, pollen, mold spores, and dust that aggravate respiratory problems; Typical filter removes 2-12 grams of particulate matter during its service life and replacement is recommended every 12 months or 12,000 miles.

5 out of 5 stars Gimme a car with air, clean beautiful air!   April 21, 2010
M. Ram (San Jose, CA, USA)
I've done general maintenance on my cars for years but never replaced a cabin air filter before. After a quick check online, I saw that the procedure for changing it (them actually, as there are two filter plates) is pretty simple (the box comes with nice instructions, by the way). You open your glove box, pop off its the holding clips, pull off the cover to the filter compartment inside and pull out the two baskets (one slides out from the right). [I ran the A/C here for a few minutes to clear out the system.] Then just replace the filter packs with the new ones and put everything back in reverse.

The air does smell cleaner, the A/C is colder, and I don't know if the systems are connected, but my engine doesn't seem to be as taxed when the air is turned on.

There's really no reason not to change these yourself, especially given the price (a fraction of what it would cost at a shop). On my 2004 Civic it's recommended every 30,000 miles, but my filters were pretty dirty (I mostly drive in the city) so you might want to check them around every 20,000.

4 out of 5 stars Fits well   April 8, 2010
TimeLimitXceeded (Harrisburg Pa)
This item fit in my 2003 Honda Element. I could tell the difference in air quality about 2 days after putting it in.

4 out of 5 stars Prefect fit, seems to work fine   March 31, 2010

Perfect fit for my Honda and seems to work fine at capturing dust and other particles.

5 out of 5 stars 2003 CrV Air Cabin Filters   January 27, 2010
Tom from NY
Directions are clear and easy to understand - took me about 15 minutes to install both filters and this was the first time I've changed them myself. Saves $$$ - the local Honda dealer was charging $75 to perform this service.

4 out of 5 stars Fit CR-V perfectly but look a bit different from OEM.   September 12, 2009
J. Musto (New England)
These fit my wife's Honda CR-V perfectly but the construction and filter material appeared to be a little different than the OEM filters trey replaced. Still, they appear to work just fine and they were way cheaper than OEM.
